Cups, memorials and championships in Tbilisi 6

The tournaments listed here come back every year or run as numbered series, so a past edition is a fair guide to the next one. The Nino Khurtsidze Cup is a women's blitz played at the end of September, held at the Merani club in recent years. Georgian Tactics runs numbered rapid and blitz tournaments several times a month, and the Jemur Sulukhia memorial is a rapid tournament played each September.

Some championships are open only to a particular group of players: the team championship of Georgia's religious organisations, organised with the state agency for religious issues, and a championship for the staff of TBC Bank. Outside the capital, the regional federation holds the Kvemo Kartli age-group championship in Rustavi each spring.
