About this list
In Tbilisi a game against a stranger is found mainly at a tournament: no chess café or park table turned up, and the clubs show themselves through the events they run. The Merani club holds numbered blitz and rapid tournaments, mostly at weekends, and hosted the women's blitz cup in September 2025 and 2026, although no page prints its street address. Olympic Champion in Gldani and the Chess Queen Academy on Giorgi Brtskinvale Street have hosted national championships in their halls, and the Karseladze Chess School at the Palace of Youth organises rapid tournaments for young players.
The Chess Palace on Kostava Street in Vera hosted national championships through 2024 and a team championship in June 2025; the federation spoke of rehabilitation works there in November 2025, and its present use is not clear. Tsibakha, a board-game club in the Fabrika courtyard on Ninoshvili Street, is known only from a 2019 visitor tip. In Rustavi, the Kvemo Kartli federation runs the regional age-group championships.
